so... afew more days wanering around peter were good. left jakob there to carry on learning the language (good luck!) and got the overnight train to Moscow!
Caught the train with very little hassle but thats easy when you're tickets are prebought and i hold onto guros camera! still feeling quite babysat so may get interesting in china....
met up with some other russia experience travellers - mat and p joined us in our 4 berth whislt an english couple and elsa from ireland came and introduced themselves. nice to meet up with some fellow backpackers -although they all seem a little more hard core. elsa is emigrating to oz and the others have been away 2 1/2 years.... maybe getting a few ideas....!
i heard the train was cold and people couldn't sleep but tucked under my flea ridden provided blanket i caught a couple of hours unlike guro. arrived 5.30 unablt to check in until after 3 hr walking tour of moscow! swaying with fatigue by the end of this. we leave moscow today and still haven't been to the kremlin - closed for state business. bit gutted but going to spend the roubles we've saved on lots of coffee and cake :) had a couple of nice meals out with mat and p, theres a ukranian i can definately recommend where i had v good 'meat in a pot' and guro had stuffed cabbage! guro wants me to say how nice they are to the stray dogs here which is true.... but they also have many many fur coats?! we tried to go to the circus last night (animal welfare issues? when in russia....) but they are on holiday so more roubles to spend on cake!
guy - can you send me your email address so i can tell you all about rogers bull (and get more gossip)
cheers for any comments, keep them coming
happy birthday to goon, will toast a vodka to you tonight!
from russia with love
c+g

So there. Finally found out how to do this. And now we' also can send you letters. Guess you are on your way to the East by now. Travelling along the Sibirian "tundra" ? Miles and miles ? You did select 1.class, did'nt you ? Anyway, enjoy and have a nice journey. Everything is very well back home. Hugs to both of you. X.
