so at last we get to spend more than 2 nights in one place! as always priority is food and a bed. some confusion with a local who'd followed us from guilin to show us his hotel meant finding a place was quite a drawn out process involving several beer stops. we end up in a fantastic and cheap hotel, 2 huge double beds in one room (getting to know mark and michelle v well now!) had planned to go the whole 9yds for halloween but its just not so easy to find costumes over here so we console ourselves with a few cocktails before heading to mc blues. here we meet up again with aussie pharmacist paul (prev met in kunming) and pete and liza. the ususal drunkeness ensues and a good night was had by all.
we hired bikes a couple of days later, headed down the riverbank. many detours/peoples gardens later we get to a small village lu gong to 'hop on a boat back to yangshou'... not so easy. first lunch with a communication error leading to not egg fried rice but the little lady slaughtered her chicken and cooked it into about 10 dishes for us (i whimped out on the intestine and liver soup ugghh) then it took hard bargaining and an hour wait for what turned out to be a fantastic sunset boat cruise back.
early start! we head with spiderman climb out to wine bottle rack for half a days climbing. we watch in awe as our instructor perry (american) heads up to fix our top rope. we have an amazing time and plan to climb our way through se asia.
mega bannana and oreo amd double thick choc milkshakes for lunch (new healthy lifestyle), dinner we again meet greg and sarah with their new friends jill and andy.
sad to leave we head back to guilin to make for vietnam via nanning....

Hey lil sis and guro, mum asked that we reply back to you to let you know we are at home with all the dogs and tatty is fine. just about to head back to shrewsbury, but first have to plan mum and dad's trip to NZ for them - not easy to cram everything into 2 weeks. I need to know when you are in sydney for definite - let me know ASAP. fudge says hi.
Am disappointed that I am yet to receive response to e-mail!! How was the 12hr bus ride? any chickens get on at some of the later stops? Have you taken our vodka treat into a new global market yet? if so I'll get the patent in pending!!!! we could be sooooo rich!!!

No goss from home as of yet! Celebrations all round as Lindsey has been back at training (reminds me I need to get tea on before she goes tonight!!!!)

New vets have started at Llanyre now, all very nice but we still miss you Guro!!!
The ex girlfriend of Byron is still causing probs, wants lots of money off him now....the saga continues!
Not alot else happening at the moment, apart from that i seem to have taken up dart playing!! Better than some of the guys though, i just pretend the triple 20 is By's ex's face!!
