koh tao
feeling so much better now... hopefully blog will make sense!so we reached koh toa after our horrible bus journey and an overly airconditioned boat ride. we headed to the ac resort where we assumed we'd be lounging on deck chairs on the beautiful beach sipping pina coladas between scuba dives and various water sports... turns out the weathers not so great and the beach isn't so big. it is a beautiful island and definately a huge dive centre but we're actually a bit cold (although the temp doesn't really drop below 20 degrees) and the divings interferring with our drinking! the waves mean bad visibility for the dives and other watersports just aren't happening, but still having a great time. we watched our dive video tues night and then celebrated our new ssi open water certs with one or two too many beers and a few too many vodka buckets (one vodka bucket is a bucket too many - a lesson michelle should have learnt in cambodia). woke up yesterday with a cracking hangover and minus my purse which unfortunately remained somewhere in the bar. ooops. but we've got over that and are happily buying extravagant christmas pressies and starting our advanced diving courses tomorrow. keep spending at this rate and we'll be home in the early new year!
