Scuba scuba scuba!

We are now qualified hobby divers!!! Got our SSI cards yesterday. Very clever people us :)
Started the course with an introduction video the same day we got here. Had a few hours of sleep first so we just managed to stay awake. Then we met our instructor - Matee from Thailand. Lovely man with great sense of humour - a neccessity when trying to teach the four of us anything. Also gained some new friends, Joanne and Phillip from UK, who did the course with us.
The first dive was in the pool. Spent a good two hours under water! Very strange, also took prunefingers to a new level. Quite nice to be in confined space though, no chance of drifting away or getting lost. Also very close to the surface when mouth/nose/ears got full of water...
The next four dives were in the sea though! Amazing experience. So much life! Saw butterfly fish, nemofish, an angry eel, seacucumbers and a million other things. Slowly we got more and more confident and starting playing around too - weightlessness is great! The last two dives were even filmed (by a guy from Belper!), so will bore you all with that we we come back!
Got bitten by the bug though, so starting our advanced course in two days.
