Melbourne
Firsty, has everyone at arrowfield been emailed a beautiful photo of the coniston 5 from the GDBA? thought it was great, will add to start of blog of not. Also we have no phone reception in kerang so will be back on touch in 10 days!
So we headed toward Frankston where Else from the trans-sib had an idea we may be turning up to stay for an indefinate period. fortunately for us she's renting a great house furnished with a spare matress and usual home luxuories (apart from a tv!). We spent a week basically enjoying being in one place. catching up with else was cool, she started her new job just after we left which seems to be going fine. we enjoyed fish and chips on the beach, cooked food in a real proper kitchen (its been a while...), painted some of elses friends house in return for a great bbq, ventured into melbourne three times on the train - once to see sarah and greg whom we'd met in mongolia with whom we sat in an english pub and drank pints, once for Australia day when they had some awesome fireworks and once to watch the aus open finals in the rod laver grounds (couldn't quite afford an arena seat!). We've also been organising, trying to get work which seems to be going well and trying to register as vets which is slightly more tricky. we decided to both head up to kerang in northern victoria to do the work of one vet to ease back into working. turns out its at the practice lindsey (big sis) worked at 3 or so years ago! bizarre (ps sis am writing this in kerang, jan is cool and says she begged you to emigrate cos ur lovely and a great vet - ugh) I'm then heading back to elses to work close by and we're not sure where guros working then yet. one more job in ballarat leaves us 2 weeks to travel a bit, maybe head to tasmania and see pink in sydney before being home for 2 weeks for bro's wedding! So this all left us with a week until we needed to be in kerang. span (from uni) and kat (we met in st.p and xian) were heading to melbourne so we made vague plans for a roadtrip......!
