Springvale

So, i'm sat at work on a not so busy tuesday afternoon... thankfully the job comes with unlimmited internet access (although the mountain of replies and hellos i have to write is quite daunting!) i'm only supposed to be working 3 days this week but as predicted, and as usual in our lovely female dominated profession, world war 3 went off this morning and i was called in to pick up the work of the rather emtional vet that stormed off home in tears!! am not sure if i'm gutted i missed the excitement (whilst i was busily lost in the se melbourne suburbs trying to find an sta to book tickets home), or if i'm just glad i wasn't involved in any way :)
I'm working at a small animal 50% domestic (ie cats and dogs) and 50% greyhound clinic - the practice is on a dog track! thankfully i'm not overly invovled with the fast running things, and there's lots of people around that know lots about greyhounds, but i am devolping an appreciation for treating animals that are so placid they practically xray themselves :) starting to wonder if it would be unethical to bet on the races, maybe then we could travel around oz in style (or at least have enough money to fix amy up).
we're realy getting back to day to day stuff - working, eating and sleeping so really not great for the blog... but its really cool staying with elsa again and we've got some great plans starting with a true aussie bbq tomorrow night where we'll 'throw another shrimp on the barbie'. have a suprise for guros birthday in march and will plan the rest of the trip around how much money we make in the next couple o months :)
still hoping to catch up with mark and michelle in brisbane, please please txt us a number we can call you on. will be seeing marie (guros 2nd cousin) next week and are planning sailing trips and hikes down in wilsons prom so will keep you up to date with any fun stuff and try and fill the gaps with fun stories... unfortunately bound to be vet related so if your not into all that you might want to stop checking our site until early may. i'll be sure to highlight anything interesting for normal people.
anyway, missing guro horribly as she's hundreds of kms away so hello to you and libby... and manky. guro becomes a 'lady of leisure' next week as she finishes in kerang. however, she'll have to find some kind of work before she heads to ballarat in april as it looks like getting amy roadworthy might take a few bucks! at least we don't have to worry about that for another month :)
debs and david our thoughts are with you guys and your families. sad times.
neale family - will get sorted and phone home soon, no skype access!!!
looking forward to seeing all in may, and glad to hear some of our travelling buddies are home already safe and sound.
love to all x

Hallois....

Kaaaaldt i sjøen i Norge no.

Talas :-)
