oops..... sorry officer!
Doh! So... on our long driving day as the scenery stayed pretty much the same and we bopped along to the same tunes on the mp3 i decided to spice things up a little, have a little break in the journey. Seems i failed to notice a speed restriction sign so as i was happily plodding tourist pace 5kph under what i thought to be the speed limit the small man with the camera decided i was actually 15kph over. Gutted! Especially given our general cruisey pace - we're in no rush! Hence my first speeding ticket and me with no defence. so $150 dollar donation to the qld government will teach me a lesson - Australia needs repeater speed signs for those of us with the memory of small fish :) ...oh and that speeding is wrong and one should pay more attention when driving etc of course.Will catch up with blog soon, coming to end of time in oz so busy busy busy - life's hard as a backpacker... poor backpackers eh?!
