Rotten eggs and bubbling mud...

In Rotorua we got to stay in a driveway again! Lucky us :) The others were in side with a 80C heater... Poor them.
First night we ate food and drank wine. And saw Oceans 13 at the cinema. But the next day arrived with sun from clear blue sky! So we headed for the sorce of the smell - Waiotapu Thermal Park! Saw Lady Knox Geysir go off (with a little bit of prompting... ie soap) and lots and lots of bubbling mud. Cool. Or hot rather i suppose :) Also saw a lot of the devils stuff - his house, bath, cave, pallet etc. All in funky yellow and green colours.
As the campervan had to stay in the parking place we brought cups of tea in a flask this time in a true norwegian style. Unfortunately the norwegian could not supply sitting-on-thingies... She has been out of Norway too long!

After picnic lunch back at the hostel we went with Cat to see her jump out of a plane! Looks very cool. Caroline promises to do it in Taupo, and I have offered to pack her parachute :)

Then C and me took Mark to Mitai mouri village for a Hungi! This is lots and lots of food burried in the ground and cooked on hot rocks. So much food we couldn't eat for days! Or at least hours. They also put on a show about their history and stuff, which was great! Men with very little clothes on sticking their tongues out and slapping their nipples. Cool.

Next morning we lost our friends and are now on our own again...
Going to the Northlands!
