So synchronised!

My favourite pesky Kea
I think we left you in Kaikoura, no doubt complaining about the lack of performing whales... or the ability to see them anyway :) We're still waiting to hear emily sing whale instead! we left kaikoura for christchurch after many discussions of where the weather would be best, west vs east coast, north vs south and decided it'd be pretty shit all over so we'd go see mark and emily again! after nearly running over em in the middle of the city we gave her a lift home and stayed in their parking place. Thanks to mark for the guided tour following day when we also booked 3 days of skiing and 7 days of fiji-ing! :D A quick hop south to Chris Tansley and Claire Lightbodys house in Rakaia (with the big salmon) great to catch up, stayed in their parking place before south to Mount Cook via lake tekapo and pukaki. Stunning day gave us great views all the way to the top. we had a couple of hikes, ice skated (badly) enjoyed a couple of glasses of mulled wine at the hermitage hotel before hauling ourselves from the fire in their lounge (complete with marshmallows for toasting)to our DOC campsite where the toilets weren't working as the pipes were frozen :(
From mount cook we drove to Milford sound via kingston and here we are on ridicuolously slow internet (can't complain really as we are in milford sound...) but will have to leave it here. kayaking tomorrow, skiing weds-fri.
hope all are well, love to all xx
