Roede lakksko and pinstriped high heals

The Chicago bean

Architecture tour

Three grown men...

So we have no money left... Only deal with a crisis like that is to go shoe shopping! At macys in Chicago. Made sure we had a quick look at the fountain and Tiffany glass roof etc as well as their shoes, so it was really sightseeing :)

Loving Chicago. It is fantastic here! So many cool buildings (it seems they invented the skyskrapers) we had to go on a architecture tour. So now we know all about the Chicago style that appeared after the big fire in the 1870ies. Also found out this is the home town of Mrs O'learys cow (the cow was blamed for the big fire, she supposedly kicked Mrs O'learys lantern over... But the city has redeamed her, saying they are not sure she is to blame! Only reason I knew about the cow is thanks to many hours spent with Gary Larson)!! Very cool.

Apart from the tour (arkitek tur-tur, hihi, norwegian word play), we've been to the Art Institute and to a small jazz venue. So cultural these days :) the jazz joint was the very same as Al Capone used to hang out at! We're in with the big boys now.
And we've had lots and lots of cups of coffee, it is the big city thing after all.

But now there is only two days to go... Very strange. This year has gone so fast it is unbelievable! Has been fantastic and now we can't wait to get back home. Must be a good sign? We'll arrive at London Heathrow 10.00 the 9th of September. Then I hop on home on friday. Jobs are sorted and we start the week after we get home, G in Wotton-under-edge (Gloucestershire), and C in Chippenham (Wiltshire)...

Back to reality hey?

Can't wait to see you all!!
Lots of love
G&C
